July 30: Cette Truc at PIKNIK

Tomorrow (Friday, July 30, 17:00-0:00 hrs.) I’m spinning records at the PIKNIK bar in Havenkwartier Deventer. I’m diving deep into my record collection right now to come up with the ultimate seven hour chill set for this ultimate chill location. Best bar in town. By far. Looking forward to meeting you there.

June 18 – 27: Vlechtmuseum Noordwolde

From Friday June 18 until Sunday June 27 some of my furniture designs (Restore I and Klapraspkruk) are on display in an exhibition about repair and re-use in Nationaal Vlechtmuseum Noordwolde.

June 19 – 20: Atelierroute Deventer

From May 29 until June 27, 82 Deventer artists (including me) present themselves at the Salon in the Bergkerk, Deventer. View some documentation of my work here. In the weekend of 19/20 June, 62 of these artists (including me) also open their studio for the public in the Atelierroute. Both Salon and Atelierroute are a part of Toegang Vrij, organised by Kunstenlab once every two years.

Opening my studio for the public is always a good excuse to tidy up I guess… Other artists opening their studio in Havenkwartier this year: Aukje Grouwstra (Baufrau), Femke Teussink, Elise van de Linden, Margot Olde Loohuis and Babet Olde Weghuis. Well worth it!

Open: Saturday June 19 – Sunday June 20, 12:00 – 17:00 hrs. All participating artists are mentioned in a free magazine, including their studio adresses and a map (see pictures below).

I made some brand new works for the exhibition in the Bergkerk. I’ll probably post them here soon, although I’m not sure if I can get the essence of this work across through the internet… I’ll try to get some decent photo documentation.
