Echo-o-o-kelder
J’ee-haw! echo-o-o-kelder at Kelderkunst, Deventer: audio installation in a very old and small basement. The installation accumulates new audio layers every day the exhibition is open. The following day these layers are integrated in the existing audio structure. Located in the basement of Grote Overstraat 21, Deventer. The entrance is located IN the street, below the store window of Antique-shop Mona Lisa.
The exhibition was open for four days, resulting in a final recording with four overlapping audio layers. J’ee-haw! released a short edit of this audio registration.
Foundation Kelderkunst organizes yearly exhibitions and performances by local artists, poets and musicians in several basements in Deventer. Other interesting participants in the 2005 edition were Jeroen Diepenmaat and Femke Teussink.

WILLIEtronix was a monthly experimental electronics evening at WILLIE in the IJsselhotel. I organized these evenings together with Bart Folmer (Radion) and also functioned as resident dj for WILLIEtronix. We had no budget available, so we focussed on showcasing local talent. Besides Radion and me, WILLIEtronix featured (live) performances by: Ultim, Improvisation on ‘Lauf Der Dinge’, Jacob Raatjes, Marius, Rik, Pixelpasta, Souley, Druis, Double, Sessionlab (laptopjam).
WILLIEtronix stopped when WILLIE had to vacate the IJsselhotel. Maybe it will return someday in some form or another…

Web design for Radion, Deventer. Graphic design by Bart Folmer. The design is based on the idea that friends of Radion supply the background images for this website. This site is no longer online.
I supplied one background image for J’ee-haw! (including audio sample) and one image for myself, on which you can see me in my early, early dj years, rocking a party on a regular home stereo set and a tiny mixer.
