Souvenirs van de Woeste Grond is a project initiated by Landschap Overijssel and Kunstenlab. In this project two artists (Heidi Linck and Hans Jungerius) collected stories about the countryside landscape in order to save them from obscurity. In the second phase of the project eight different artists made a souvenir based on the collected stories.

I was one of the eight artists selected to design/make a souvenir. Other artists are Hellen Abma, Loes ten Anscher & Margreet Hajee, Lobke Meekens, Bob Lejeune, Marcel Smink, Hans Jungerius and Floor Coolsma. You can find more information about the project overhere.

My souvenir turned out to be a CD release with commissioned compositions by Gluid, Gareth Davis, Machinefabriek, Wouter van Veldhoven, Reinier van Houdt and Weerthof. Released on my record label Esc.rec. in a very limited edition (100), with a handmade cover by me. But also available as a digital download, if you prefer that.

The artists I selected based their compositions on the stories collected by Heidi Linck about Losser and it’s surroundings. The release itself is also based on one of those stories.

Order the limited edition CD release with booklet in handmade cover overhere. More information, downloads and streams overhere.

At the official release festival at Steenfabriek De Werklust in Losser, Reinier van Houdt and Gareth Davis performed their compositions live, which was great!

Really proud of how this whole project turned out!
